I just compiled vanilla tomato 1.23 with broadcom drivers 4.150.10.5. (i call it MND "much newer drivers"). The patch for the intel-issue is included.

I use this for my 7 WRT54GLs 1.1 which are simply used to extend range in my WDS-System. So no other mods are needed on these devices.

I found the source in git repository. It works with no problems since 2 days but it is just for test purposes, so it comes with no warranty. If someone is interessted in this build drop me a PM for the link.

I'm glad all my efforts to split sources into several independent branches were useful for someone :). Hope the new build works for you. Would be interesting to know if newer driver performs better or worse on WRT54GLs.

Yes, i think putting separate branches in the git is the right way. I thank you for your efforts.

The newer drivers work perfect on my WRT54GLs 1.1. The range isnt much higher but i noticed a better stability and performance compared to 3.90 and 4.130 drivers.

What i noticed too is that my compile causes problems on WRT54GSV4 Routers. Update is flawless but the updated routers cant connect to my WDS-System. I tested vanilla tomato (old drivers) and could connect, but the speed was horrible. Only Jons tomato with the specific WRT54GSv4 build runs without problems. So i im trying to find out, what is special about this WRT54GSV4 code.
