I have download 1.24 sourcecode tar ball in first time, but I find that this time the sourcecode can't be compiled correctly(it was fine before). It's in circle of building tool-chain, I guess that something wrong with the makefile but I can't find it. Would Jon can correct it? thank you

I can confirm there's something up - keeps rebuilding uClibc. Probably a file protection issue, the latest software seems to have been built as root.

I'm not having this problem with Keith's patches applied.

am able to build both tomato and tomato-ND versions. I haven't flashed them yet though.

I just built the regular 1.24 version and flashed it into a WRT54G v3

Keith's new release/src/Makefile for the "Build process echo fix" is what fixed it for me.

Before the new Makefile, I was getting a makefile loop that never ended.

It tests fine for me in the simple case, wireless connection with no encryption.

More directly, to automatically download and apply the fix (from the base directory):
    Code:
    wget http://repo.or.cz/w/tomato.git?a=commitdiff_plain;h=b3698d38f16e6765e5385d711027109b6c7e0bff -o /dev/null -O - | patch -p1
