Tomato Access Restrictions

I upgraded my WRT54GL to the most recent version of Tomato.
I have searched google up and down for good detailed information but am not able to find it.

I noticed a 2MB video that shows a sample of someone adding access restrictions but there is no explaination.

When they added a domain, they put a $ at the end. Example: cnn.com$

What does the $ do and what would happen if it were not there? How many keyword and domains can be placed in each rule?

Can the router be programed to display a web page to the user trying to access the banned site showing that it is restricted and not an internet problem?

Can the router send an email when a restricted site is attempted?

Sorry for all the questions at once, but it is hard to find detailed information beyond the overview that is available in wikipedia.

    Thank you

    ^begins-with.domain.
    .ends-with.net$
    ^www.exact-domain.net$
that's the way a domain is defined in the restrictions if you don't have a ^ or $ it's a keyword based restriction.

not that I'm aware of.. but OpenDNS can do it..
