Can Tomato show the actual wireless rate (I otherwise suggest to add this in a next release)?
This may be helpfull to check the overall wireless connection behaviour.
I know from the past (with other firmware kinds) that the wireless rate may drop due to some wireless clients on another floor, causing weaker signals.

Not quite sure if you mean this, but that feature is in almost all the recent mods based on Teddy Bear's releases. It will show in real time the tx/rx rate of all connected wireless clients in the device list.

Ah right. I did a first try to get Teddy Bear's release in the router, it did show the wireless rate as asked for. After setting my own password, it ended up with constantly asking for Username/Password in the GUI.
For now I reverted back to standard Tomato, maybe another try soon.

That behavior isn't normal. Good luck when you try again. Std. Tomato is pretty much ancient history these days.

Might be interesting and helpful if we knew what the router you are having issues with is.

    The router is a Linksys WRT54GL v1.1.
I used the Build 52 "TomatoUSB Kernel 2.4 NoUSB Stb" version.
I'm now back to standard Tomato 1.28.

Just to be sure..the Tomato firmware file has extension .bin (like Linksys stock firmware, Tarifa and DD-WRT), TomatoUSB has .trx
The router did accept the .trx file flawless, or does it need a rename or other change prior flash?

I introduced a 30-30-30 reset prior and 30-30-30 reset after flashing Build 52 "TomatoUSB Kernel 2.4 NoUSB Stb" version over Tomato standard 1.28, it all looks ok now (at least no more repeating login dialogs) :)
