Attempting to get a small lan with some friends going, but running into a problem. Would like to show off Tomato's sweetness at the lan with a projector on the bandwith page and cycling to other things lan related.

The problem is with the port forwarding. I have not added any port forwards yet, because there has to be a different way to do this. We will be playing games, for example BF2142. Myself alone cannot connect, If I forward the ports to my computer then only myself will be able to connect, how would I make it so we could all connect.

    Thanks in advance

You don't need to forward any ports; all computers will be on a common switch, and will have unrestricted access to each other.

If u and your friends are just playing amongst each other without having to connect to the Internet, there should not be any ports to connect. But if all of u are connecting to the server on the Internet to play, then see if the BF2142 application has a setting that lets each PC use a different set of ports from another PC. And thus add in those ports to the router in the port forwarding rules.

U will not need to forward ports.

Ive got 6machines connecting via tomato.. 3 of which are used for online gaming.

ONLY if u want to host an internet server, then u need to forward the ports to the specific machine that will be hosting the game.
