    if it`s a bug then you should report this to transmission dev`s. I didn`t modify transmission`s sources.

    shibby - that's cool about the upnp gui bug - we didn't know it was broken until you fixed it!

    a note regarding ie10 - there are lots of problems being reported about incompatibilities, including logon authentication issues. since the ie10 upgrade to windows 7 occured last week also, we should all be careful to include what browser we're using when we report problems with tomato that occured last week also.
    as example- if on ie10, i can't log on to a wrt120n (linksys firmware) at all.

    thanks again shibby for fantastic work.

    port 51413 is defined from transmission-GUI and port forwarding (not needed).
    port 51413 is open from preference. I can download as long I use torrent file.

    I've never had problems with the internal one.

    Magnet issue only. AIO and mega has conflict for input-core.ko, which is needed for usb camera. I was hoping that Shibby will decide to incorporate this kernel into his FW to remove conflict.

    leandroong Addicted to LI Member

    Shibby, there is bug in your FW. To asceretain bug failure due to entware transmission compilation or FW, I loaded FW AIO and test optware transmission for magnet link. It works. This means that current FW that I'm using has issue regarding magnet link not working, said FW is "tomato-K26USB-1.28.RT-MIPSR1-107-BTgui-VPN.trx"

    note: bug is present only in FW 107 BTGUI-VPN

    I have wireless security cameras that I have set to FTP in and save pictures to an attached USB drive whenever there is motion.

    In 106 AIO this function worked, but in 107 it does not. I cleared NVRAM.

    Went back to 106 and it works.

    I think we misunderstand him. It is working for me to. I think he is talking about another bug that is only seen on builds with transmission built in. Not sure though.

    FW107-aio
    Today, transmission optware transmission magnet wont work also. It seems that I needed to use default built-in first for magnet to work. After that, I can switch to optware transmission that will have magnet working. Very weird indeed. I thought FW107-btgui-vpn problem. Re-occurence of issue prove that there is something that prevent optware tranmission magnet to work.
    Anyway, minor issue, I will just use torrent file for the meantime.

    Hello.

    I am new to the forum but I use tomato by Shibby from v97 (I think, don't really remenber) and it is the best firmware ever for my rt-n16. What I like the most about Shibby's mod it's that it integrates all the features from other mods and that is great. By this way I would like to thank you Shibby for all the great work that you do, it is really apreciated. Before tomato i used to have dd-wrt but tomato seems better and more functional.

    By the way I was just wondering if you would like to translate your build maybe I could help, and maybe others too so that tomato becomes an international firmware.

    I've encountered a strange bug in Shibby's E3200 build. Whenever I try to configure Client Mode, the DNS lookup works correctly until router reboots and then it won't ever work again. The router does connect to the host network because I can login to the host router at 192.168.1.1 fine. I have encountered this problem running the last several versions. However, I did load Toastman's build and use the same settings and everything worked correctly. I guess I could use Toastman's build but I want to use the 5Ghz radio and Shibby's FW is the only one that supports the E3200's 5Ghz radio at this time.

    Here are the basic settings that I'm using:

    Basic-Network:
    WAN/Internet->Type=DHCP
    WAN/Internet->MTU=Default

    LAN=>IP Address=192.168.2.1, Netmask=255.255.255.0, IP Range=192.168.2.1-51
    LAN=>Static DNS=Leave Blank (also tried 192.168.1.1 with same results)

    Wireless->eth1->Wireless Mode=Wireless Client
    Wireless->eth1->Wireless Network Mode=G Only
    Wireless->eth1->Security=WPA/WPA2 Personal
    Wireless->eth1->Security->Encryption=TKIP

    Advanced->Routing->Miscellaneous->Mode=GateWay

    I've left out SSID/Password for security reasons. The host router is WNR3500Lv1 currently running in Wireless-G both WPA/WPA2 enabled. The E3200 will not connect to the host network unless WPA2 is enabled yet it connects properly as Ethernet Bridge without WPA2 enabled on the host router - another wierd FW bug. I have done a 30-30-30 reset and erase NVRAM before configuration but the results are the same.

    Hi Shibby, I really like the new Ethernet Ports State feature. But it would be MUCH more useful if we could manually assign labels to LAN1, LAN2, etc. So instead of saying, for example, "LAN1" above the port icon, I could have it say "Mac Server" or something like that. Might this be possible?

    I know. But I have a couple Tomato routers/APs in the house and it would be nice to be able to log onto their admin page and check if a device is connected or not. But I will never be able to remember which number goes to which device, so it would be nice to be able to label them in the admin page, in the same way that you can assign a label for static DHCPs.

    Transmission took awhile to actually start working after I enabled it (maybe 4 minutes?) but then it seemed to be fine.
    I setup a CIFS share to point the client to, and that seems to be successful, however, It is taking 100% cpu utilization on a single torrent. That torrent is only connected to 4-5 peers pulling hardly 500kb/s-1.5meg, so not even really fast. top only shows maybe 9% VSZ

    Any ideas to correct this? I find it odd that a single torrent would take 99-100% cpu honestly.

    Hi everyone,
    I think I found a FTP related bug in tomato-K26USB-1.28.RT-N5x-MIPSR2-107-AIO. This function is working only inside LAN. I've tried hundreds of time to make it work but nothing happened so, I had to return to tomato-K26USB-1.28.RT-N5x-MIPSR2-106-AIO. Did anyone had same issue like me or I'm the only??

    Hi the problem i have mentioned some posts before about web gui not working after enabling http&https i have found it on versions 106 & 107 for: k26mipsr2 all mini versions (miniIpv6,mini) except minivpn that works & k26mipsr1 all mini versions also except minivpn that works. In version 104 there is no problem with k26miniIPV6 and k26mini when https enabled. I have tried many times with nvram erase, used https://routerip:443, but always when enable https on the versions mentioned , no web gui access. only telnet.

    If anyone can confirm.

    bug: OpenVPN does not include CFB or OFB modes of encryption but still shows them in the web interface. I propose removing them from the web interface. Here's output from version 107 running the Max version.

    Code:
    root@linksys:/tmp/etc/openvpn/server1# openvpn --show-ciphers
    DES-CBC 64 bit default key (fixed)
    IDEA-CBC 128 bit default key (fixed)
    RC2-CBC 128 bit default key (variable)
    DES-EDE-CBC 128 bit default key (fixed)
    DES-EDE3-CBC 192 bit default key (fixed)
    DESX-CBC 192 bit default key (fixed)
    BF-CBC 128 bit default key (variable)
    RC2-40-CBC 40 bit default key (variable)
    CAST5-CBC 128 bit default key (variable)
    RC5-CBC 128 bit default key (variable)
    RC2-64-CBC 64 bit default key (variable)
    AES-128-CBC 128 bit default key (fixed)
    AES-192-CBC 192 bit default key (fixed)
    AES-256-CBC 256 bit default key (fixed)

    root@linksys:/tmp/etc/openvpn/server1#

    I would also like to remove everything except the AES modes as they needlessly take up space but w/e.
    Oh also forgot to mention. Selecting CFB or OFB in the web interface results in the openvpn process killing itself. Here's syslogd output:
    Code:

    OpenVPN needs to be build with ALLOW_NON_CBC_CIPHERS defined for non-CBC modes to be available.

    While I agree that many cryptos are kinda useless, I wouldn't keep only AES. BF is considered the default OpenVPN crypto, for instance, and is probably needed by some tunnel providers.

    A broken cipher is one that takes less than the bitlength to break. So if DES(56-bit) can be cracked by bruteforcing a keyspace less than 56-bit, it's broken.

    From the top of my head, RC2 and DES are the broken ones. No clue about the other ones but any cipher of 64-bit length should not be used or supported. I think AES is the best option as it has had many eyeballs on it.

    Except that DES is provided by openssl, not from OpenVPN. You can't just take out DES from openssl, because there are other things than OpenVPN that might need it.

    From OpenVPN's point of view, there is nothing to remove. It merely uses whatever openssl provides.

    + while(isdigit(*q))
    I'm asking because I'm wondering if it should be given back to the miniupnpd author to incorporate into the minipunpd master branch?
    Also, I wanted to let you know that I've been running the E3000 "RTN" builds of 107 for the past 7-8 days without single issue. I think E3000 may be one of the routers for which switching your builds to "RTN" would be safe / good.

    I was wondering if adding a way to change the login, instead of always admin, might make the firmware more secure.

    I found another discrepancy:
    "Make Target" v has option JFFS to Y, but in the makefile the option NO_JFFS=y for K26.

    Is this a fault in the makefile or in the builds.png?

    I've verified the MD5. This is on a Linksys WRT54GL.

    I have the version 104 aio for rt_n66u, I figured flashed to 108 aio, do I need nvram reset? Anyway to not have to config everything again

    @zorkmta - i suggest you do:
    1) make settings backup of v104
    2) download v104 and latest v108
    3) upgrade to v108 without nvram clear
    4) If all works correct then have fun
    5) If you have some issues, router is unstable or some of services does not work, then return to v104, clean nvram and restore settings from backup

    BR!

    I upgraded my router Asus rtn16 from v. 83 to 108 k26 RT build and I experienced the same long boot issues that users in the polish forum have been describing.
    I did clear nvram. I am not sure what revision my router is but when I bought it came in a bluebox with a manufactured in 2010 logo.
    I downgrade to the 105.1 build and the long boot is gone.

    Does anyone know if the k26 RTN 108 build has the same long boot problems as the RT version?

    Trying to build the tomato-shibby-RT-N branch, more specifically the aio version (make r2z). I am on lubuntu 12.10 32 bit.
    The build fails quite a bit in (it is a slow machine) when trying to build openvpn, it says something about missing ltmain.sh, which google tells me amounts to this: http://www.gnu.org/software/automak...or-required-file-ltmain_002esh-not-found.html

    Anyone stumbled into this? And solved it?

    Hi!

    just rolled back to v104 from v108 because two issues on RT-N66U (AIO 64k):

    1- Introduced in v105: bandwith history doesn't get saved, there's no "WAN" tab when looking through the data on the web interface in "last 24h". I think this happens when I add br1 to get a virtual wifi on a diferent network subnet

    2- Introduced in v108: my PSVita can't access internet.

    Rolling back to v104 solved both problems.

    Regards and thanks for the great work! :)

    Hello
    Rolled back v108 > v107 on RT-N66U (AIO 64K)

    v108 router hung within 30 Min tested run for 1 week rolled back to v107 solved.
    Thanks

    Is anyone else having problems in v108 with connecting to the FTP server from the WAN side?

    On my RT-N66U ftp works fine in LAN (and thru the loopback) but is major no-go from outside. First I though, it might had been the not-cleared-nvram problem but I just tried on a clean install and it shows the same behavior: connecting client times out, there are basically no signs of the connection in log. Could it be a firewall issue??
    I went through the log and found this entry:

    And here's the iptables.error file:

    Now, can someone knowledgeable please tell me if this can be the culprit of the ftp problem?

    Shibby, in the next release could you add a "on completion move to directory" location under "Download directory"?

    Nevermind, i see now there isn't even an available setting for that.

    Hey shibby, I've been using your builds for quite a while and I really appreciate all the work you've done.

    Is there a way to configure the wireless client mode to connect to a WPA2 Enterprise network with PEAP & MSCHAPv2?

    Hello shibby,

    A few issues to report here (please excuse me for not posting at OpenLinksys). I'm using build 108 on my Asus RT-16N.

    Bandwidth Limiter:
    • The Default Class for br0 creates a "prio 3" (i.e. "Low") ruleset in /tmp/etc/qoslimit. Can this be changed to instead create a "prio 2" (i.e. "Normal") ruleset?
    • Better yet would be the ability to change the priority via a dropdown menu like you have for br1, br2, and br3.
    • And if you will be going to that trouble, perhaps add TCP Limit and UDP Limit menus for br1, br2, and br3, like you have for br0?
    • Minor nit: "bandwidth" is misspelled in the sections for all four interfaces.
    Ethernet Ports State:

    Using build 108 firmware defaults on my RT-16N, the connected LAN ports are displayed in the correct position, but the port labels are reversed, i.e. LAN 1 thru LAN 4 should be labelled right-to-left (not left-to-right). If I enable "Invert Ports Order" then the connected port positions are reversed, but the port labels do not change.

    To illustrate, I have cables connected to the WAN, LAN 1, and LAN 2 ports. This status display puts the cables in the correct locations but the port labels are reversed:

    EthernetPortsState.png

    FYI, I noticed that nvram shows t_model=35 for this build, while build 106 shows t_model=32.

    Thanks!

    EDIT: Finally found your bug tracker at http://tomato.groov.pl/?page_id=334 . I've created bug reports 232 and 233 for these issues. Report 233 (re: Default Class for br0) is really a combination of bug report and feature request. If you could at least switch the priority to Normal that would be good enough for now, thanks.

    P.S. Also found your Donate button there, pizza and beer money is on the way...

    Have you seen, Basic => Network => Ethernet Ports State - Configuration => Invert Ports Order ? :) :)

    Enable Ports State
    Show Speed Info
    Invert Ports Order

    @kthaddock, yes I've seen that, thanks. On my RT-16N, Invert Ports Order just flips the connected port order (which is not what I want, since the default order is correct). It's the default port labels that need to be flipped. Please check the thumbnail in my previous post for a picture of what I mean. I'm using tomato-K26USB-1.28.RT-N5x-MIPSR2-108-VPN.

    If I recall correctly this was not a problem with build 106. But I may not be recalling correctly. :confused:

    As I mentioned above, I see that nvram shows t_model=35 for this build 108, while build 106 shows t_model=32. This might be a hint as to what happened to cause this bug, but I'm just guessing.
