    my router ASUS RT-N66U Revision B2,
    i'm using tomato firmware based on shibbymod (tomato-K26USB-1.28.RT-N5x-MIPSR2-112-AIO-64K.trx)

    the firmware is perfect.
    everything working well,
    i get the url filtering,
    the NTFS-3G speed for reading and writing in this firmware is enormous.
    in asuswrt i got the speed for reading about max 5 MB on LAN / Wireless.
    with tomato i get 8 MB on wireless 2.4/5, i haven't tried the Wired.

    the only problem i get is the EVDO Modem connection.

    for the first time i plug my EVDO Modem, it works at the beginning.
    but if i disconnect the modem or restart the modem, it really hard for it to connect again using this procedure.

    below is the step by step that i used.
    1. boot the modem for the first time. i set up everything, ssid, and blabla..
    2. then i set USB Support for 3G Modem
    3. Connection string and #777, username & password. /dev/ttyUSB3
    4. reboot the router.
    5. it works...

    ====================

    then i simply disconnect the modem and try to connect again, but it won't get connected again.

    and then again. the procedure i do i reboot the router with the modem still plugged.
    this time. the dmesg only show

    =======================================
    drivers/usb/class/cdc-acm.c: v0.26:USB Abstract Control Model driver for USB modems and ISDN adapters usbcore: registered new interface driver usbserial

    drivers/usb/serial/usb-serial.c: USB Serial support registered for Sierra USB modem
    usbcore: registered new interface driver sierra
    ======================================
    then again reboot. and it will never connect anymore.

    until i found this workaround:
    1. Disable USB support modem in the USB Support menu.
    2. I reboot the router with the modem unplug..
    3. I connect to the Router through ssh
    4. $> service wan stop
    5. $> switch3g
    6. $> rmmod usbserial
    7. $> modprobe usbserial vendor=0x201e product=0x10f8
    8. wait for 10-15 seconds.
    9. $> service wan start.
    magically the service is now working. but of course the problem will be the same if i disconnect the WAN from the overview menu. but this time i just need to unplug the modem and repeat the step

    is this normal?
    my modem is HAIER CE81B
    the device is detected as 05c6:f000 until i run switch3g then it will become 201e:10f8.

    Any help would be appreciated.
    I suspect that the modem need to wait for at least 10 seconds initially before starting wan services (service wan start)

    in 112 switch3g script can not works always. Try install v109 (with older usb_modeswitch) and check is this issue still exist.
