    Dear all,

I'm in beta test for new release. Changelog/Bug fixes:

_ IP/MAC BW limiter upload rate fail.
    _ Captive Portal

Only a version for Asus RT-N16 is now released in beta test. Some old features of Tomato RAF are not implemented yet, it's a beta. Please don't ask for other router ported till beta is finished with your feedback report. Thank you.

Please read the file 'What's new first' to know what I'm talking about and information about compilation.

Loaded and running here but too late in the day to do any testing. So far, no issues. Thanks.

    I noticed...

    Enlaces/Links. Kernel-2.6.22. MIPSR2.
    # Tomato RAF 1.28.8656.. ONLY FOR 8MB Flash (MIPSR2.Kernel 2.6) Extended + VPN + USB. Updated February 20th.2011.

    ..on the Victek website.

Is this the final version of the beta?
"ONLY FOR 8MB Flash". Is this meant for an RT-N16 (with 32MB Flash)?

Final release to public usage, you have also 8618 for MIPSR1 4MB Flash and 8623 for MIPSR1 8MB Flash. These version will change soon since as I said we (shibby20 and I) are working together for Tomato RAF now :) , read About notice.

    Best Regards!

    Vicktek,

Are 2.6k releases a waste of development time for the WRT54GL? I only ask since you advise sticking with 2.4k for that particular router? Not sure what people would want or use 2.6k for if it does not run great due to the older hardware. Nothing against you or development for it. Just curious if you think its wasting time/resources for you.

For WRT54G (rev<4.1) is a waste of resources, yes, I agree, the CPU is limited, the WAN-LAN bandwidth is poor (<30mb) and my intention is to adapt all the new features to original 1.28 K2.4 where we can get a profitable device.
BTW, Tomato RAF features published in the git, I took me a longtime to learn and my big thanks to Toastman also for his patience, but now is open for the community, as it's. ;)

    Victek,
Thanks for the latest build. I updated my RT-N16 and everything seems working fine so far. But the final build does not have the "captive Portal" any more. Any problem with the feature or it's not working yet?

I'm adding features step by step, captive portal gaves me problems with iptables 'with set mask and/or return', so, I'll add when fixed in a new release. I think it's clear in 'about' legend that captive portal is not in... We'll update in the coming releases.

    HI,Victek
Can you outline the features of your captive portal.

    hi Victek,
thanks for your great work on the TomatoRAF project!:)
I've just installed tomato-K26USB-1.28.8656MIPSR2_RAF-VPN on my Asus RT-N16 and its working nicely.

just one small translation bug, on the RAF features page, you have a typo on the text there:

it should say "You have to disable standard QoS prior to QoS/IP Range BW Limit activation"

Vic/Shibby - I've just posted a version using limiter code from Deon "PrinceAMD" which he has been working on independently from you both. It takes a different approach, full source is in git repository for you to peruse. Deon is also very keen to contribute to developing Tomato, and will be in contact with you shortly. He's been lurking on the TomatoUSB forum!

There seems to be an issue if you store the "Media / DLNA Server" Database Location in a custom path on an attached USB drive. I've got the "Scan Media at Startup" ticked but it's not scanning on startup. I think it may be because minidlna is starting before the usb drivers. The database is in /mnt/data/db and the log extract is below:

    Victek,
It seems that the "Port Triggered" is not working on this release. I have an FTP server behind the router and before I update the router (RT-N16 with RAF1.28.8655) I can use FTP with Port trigger for the ftp data ports. Now I can't get ftp working any more. I got the following error on ftp client.

[R] Data Socket Error: Connection timed out
    [R] List Error

If I put the ftp data ports (e.g. 40000-41000) in "Port Forwarding" then I can use the FTP again.
