Been wondering since some of the routers today support usb storage and I am well aware that some tomato mode supports usb storage. (If im not mistaken)

It would be a great addon to have a built in torrent client in the router using usb storage as download storage.

And this would cut some electric bill knowing that you only have to power up your USB storage, modem and router.

Hoping it would be possible and implemented....

Have you found your answer yet by searching? If you use Tomato you can install Transmission as your bittorrent client. This is what I am running here.

The easiest way to do this is to use Teddy Bear's version of Tomato (pinned at the top of this forum) with Lost Animal's Optware install: http://www.xtremecoders.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=75&t=42

I have the same quest with OP.
Lost Animal's Optware script requires torrent client software to be installed on external USB storage.
It would be much more convenient to include a mature torrent client like Transmission on the router itself. This way we can switch external USB HDs easily!
    TIA for any tips.
