Tomato - with two devices and a wired link

    OK - I am stuck.

I have two devices running tomato firmware - the config looks like this:-

    "Master"
    - DHCP server
    - DNS Server
    - wireless on Channel 9 to hidden essid NETWORKNAME

    WIRED link through to

    "Slave"
    - wireless on channel 9 to hidden essid NETWORKNAME
    - DHCP and DNS disabled

My problem is that DHCP requests from wired and wireless clients on the "Slave" don't seem to be passed to the "Master". I have tried setting the advanced->routing->mode on the slave to both gateway and router, and neither works.

Am I missing something obvious - is there any reason why DHCP requests from clients on "Slave" would not be sent out on the network?

    Thanks

Since the LAN ports of the "slave" with the DHCP and DNS disables should essentially work as a simple switch, i don't see why wouldn't it pass the DHCP requests on. Any chance you've connected the devices through a WAN port instead of a LAN port ?

Thanks for the suggestion, but sadly, that is not it. The master WAN port is connected to my cable modem (internet), and the wan port on the slave is unused.

Did you erase NVRAM on both routers before you set up your system?

Do you have WAN disabled on the slave (Basic settings - network)?
