I've just setup a pap2t on my network for voip purposes. It's been having problems with disconnects and also causing my network to come down. Reading the forums it seems to be a udp timeout issue. Also, everyone suggests turning off Sip under Tracking / NAT Helpers, but this option doesn't seem to be present in the TomatoUSB nousb/vpn version. Is this turned off by default, or could it still be on and there's not the option to disable it? I guess I'll take a look in a nvram dump. I've tried about everything else with Stun servers, nat options, etc, but am still having issues.

In the nvram, I found the following two options
    dmz_sip=
    rmgt_sip=

dmz_sip to me sounds like dmz, but just for sip ports?

So anybody know why sip doesn't show up under Tracking / NAT Helpers?

Can you run a different firmware which contains the "SIP helper" option? I'm currently running Shibby's latest build which works fine with my PAP2T once the SIP Helper is disabled and the recommended timeouts are applied.

Right now I'm kind of dependant on the VPN flavor. I've been contemplating getting a new router anyway, this will probably me excuse to do it now. I've had my eye on the Asus RT-N16, so I'll probably do that. I wanted to play with optware anyway.
It's curious though, I'm not sure whether it's even built in, or if it's just the option to disable it that's missing. If that's the case, maybe there's a way to change it in the cli? No combination of settings I've tried keeps it 100% reliable.

    What's the shibby build anyway?

Shibby20 has been working with other developers to enhance Tomato and bring various features together. His latest work involves adding Transmission (the bittorrent client).

The link for this is here.
