torrent and dd-wrt

Has anybody had any problems with the new prefinal 4 release and torrents? Please let me know if I'm doing something wrong...

I configured everything to allow ports 6881-6999 through the firewall. This has worked before with the standard linksys release, so I know that it does work. I run the test util from the bittornado forum site and it passes. Load talismen up on the WRT54G, configure the firewall, and it fails during the torrent test due to firewall or nat blocking. I rebooted the router, computer, even placed the computer in a DMZ and it still didn't work! I telnet'ed into the router and did a iptables --list to see if the conduit exists, and it does. But I still couldn't have people connect to my machine.

Just for kicks, re-loaded the linksys firmware up on the router, made the conduits for the ports, and checked it again, and others were able to connect to me.

I was just wondering if there's anything else special that needs to be done. I love dd-wrt, but I love bittorrent even more....

Bittorrent works fine here using Pre4. Make sure you forward the ports to the right IP - run "ipconfig" on your computer to see what IP address it's using.

Also have a look at the Windows firewall to make sure it isn't blocking anything.

Yeah, I tried all of those things. I figured it was the Windows SP2 firewall, but that was disabled. The right IP was configured on the wrt config....I'm pretty sure everything client-wise was fine because when i flashed it back to the linksys firmware, everything worked fine.

I think I might try flashing it again with the dd-wrt firmware and see what happens. Who knows, pptp didn't work with the other release while torrents did....and now it's just backwards. So maybe the next release will fix the torrent and pptp problem!

    Thanks for your help!
