transfer settings from one tomato to another?

in DDWRT, you could back up a settings file and restore it to a different DDWRT box (assuming same hardware type). I tried this in Tomato 1.01 (was switching my Buffalo for a different one, same hardware just a less beat-up exterior case) and Tomato told me it can only restore settings to the exact same router where you saved the settings from. Both routers had been flashed with identical Tomato 101 firmware.

so I began a tedious task of opening both routers side by side and copying the settings from old->new. Took me a while.

so question is, can this be done more efficiently? some sort of text backup/restore maybe?

Here's hoping.. for now i'm doing the manual thing and it blows chunks.

Good thing is that once you are on Tomato you don't need to clear NVRAM, still its a pain copying all changes again and again and again..
