want to control home computer B (behind router) from outside computer A (direct to lan)

set static ip 192.168.1.100 on B, forwarded tcp and udp (both) on router for port 3389 to 192.168.1.100.

was able to remote access B on another home computer C by connecting to 192.168.1.100. But could not connect to B from A.

got B's ip on http://www.ip-adress.com/. on http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ check port 3389 on B's ip, said port closed.

    router is asus 520-gu.

    what could be wrong? Thanks

is your modem in bridge mode? if not, you'll have two subnets and you would need to do port forwarding on the modem as well before it would work.
