I opened it up located the flash chip, shorted out 15 and 16, and can sucessfully ping it. But when i try to tftp the firmware to it, it says Timed Out. Anyone have a suggestion. Im using
    "tftp -i put code.bin"

Knowing that sometimes the ports are reversed ive tried the imput port and output ports.

your trying to put code.bin via tftp, the only firmware i know that uses code.bin for a file name as default is the TinyPEAP firmware, are you trying to install tinypeap? if not what firmware are you trying to upload? and what version router do you have? I know you say V3 but have you checked the serial numbers to confirm this fact?

ps I had the same problem a few days ago so I can help out once I get some more info. also are you trying to upload tftp via LAN or wireless connections?

ok the model is a WRT54G v.3 and it matched up to the autopsy of the v.3, thought i dont know the difference to the v.3.1. The S/n is CDF80E271274 if that helps. Also i renamed the WRT54GV4.0_4.20.6_US_code.bin to just code.bin. I used wired to tftp.
