Trying to set the WAP-AES encryption

I have the WPC54G which I bought just one month ago. The Notebook Adapter driver is version 2.0 and I have problems trying to set the WAP-AES encryption. I can only use the WAP-TKIP encryption while the WAP54G access point clearly supports AES.

Has anyone encountered this problem? I have contacted LinkSys but could not get a solution to the problem.

AES is considered to be WPA2. Only version 3 and 5 supports WPA2 according to WI-FI org.

Considered WPA2? Then why does the option appear on my WAP54G and WPC54G?

I even tried using Linux on my laptop with the corresponding drivers and still could not configure the WPA-AES option. AES is shown as a WPA-PSK option. When you select WPA-PSK you can choose from TKIP and AES. The problem is that so far, I can only make the TKIP encryption work. The AES encryption doesn't work at all.

PS. I finally found out that the problem is in the driver ( version ) which does NOT support AES... G-R-E-A-T !!!
