Turn wireless into wired?

I have a second WRT54GL on me with tomato.

Is there anyway I can set it so it takes the wireless signal from the first one and sets it such that I can connect wired to it?

Question, I got mine working on Wireless Ethernet Bridge.
Is there any downside to doing it that way over WDS?

Depending on usage, if you were to attempt to connect to your router via wireless, while the bridge is engaged, wireless throughput would be cut by 50%, thereby cutting the speeds the wired connections are getting by half as well.

    Again, depending on usage.

Well, it seems that WOL doesn't work over Wireless Ethernet Bridge, so if u are using that, then go for WDS.

The notable advantage of WDS over other solutions is that it preserves the MAC addresses of client frames across links between access points.

Wireless throughput will only be cut by 50% if wireless clients connect to the 2nd router.

    Router 1: WDS
Router 2: WDS + Access point

Thus, if clients connect to the Access point at Router 2, communications between the Router 1 and the clients will have a 50% cut in throughput due to retransmission done by Router 2. This is the same 50% cut whether one goes for Wireless Bridge or WDS (though Wireless Bridge in Tomato does not support Access point too).
