Turn WRT54G into wireless access point

I'm sure this question has been asked a bazzilion times before, but I'm a relative newbie to networking. I have a very basic internet sharing setup at home:

Cable modem connects to WRT54G which is connected with CAT-5 to my PC and connects wirelessly to children's PC.

For various reasons, I'm adding a file server to our network. I'll be connecting the cable modem directly to the file server via USB. I'd like to turn the router into a wired/wi-fi access point for my PC, the girls' PC and our notebook.

Is there a way to reconfigure the WRT54G to an access point? If so, how?
