Turning a WRT into a WAP

I have a customer that has a D-Link wireless router. They have real crutty wireless coverage. I plan to put a second router on the network with the same SSID and WEP key, but in a separate channel range (chan 1 and 11). So the question is, how do I turn a WRT54G into something similar to a WAP. I want to connect the dlink router to one of the LAN ports on my linksys and have the dlink handle all the DHCP, NAT, and routing functions. Thanks

PS I also would like to keep the linksys router at stock firmware

Linksys stock firmware is fine. Just disable DHCP on the Linksys router , and connect it via its LAN port like you said. Give it an appropriate IP address - outside the DHCP range of the DLink and your set. Also think about getting your customer to WPA as WEP is too easily racked.
