    First off, I'm a noob @ all this.

    My internet connection drops out over night (or any long period of inactivity) and I have to "repair" the connections on my PC & laptop when I get home from work.

    Here is my config:

    Ingore the periods below
    ............................................../---->PC WINXP home
    ............................................ /----->XboX
    Cable modem---->Dlink DI-604--/-->WRT54G (lan port)--->wireless laptop WINXP home

    I have a workgroup setup between the PC and laptop

    I would like to know how to properly configure my router(s) and or computers so their internet connections don't drop every night.

    Thanks in advance for your wisdom!

    Your problems may have something to do with the ip refresh times of your provider. If that is not the case, then you need to look at anything in your immediate environment that may interfere with your wireless signal. If you are on channel "6" change to either channel "1" or channel "11" for starters.

    As far as your routers go, or you intending for the WRT54G to work as a "repeater" (access point) or as a router for a second subnet?
