I have two WRT54G that I upgraded to Alchemy and I am trying to set them up on my home network. WRT#1-IP 188.8.131.52 is connected to my DSL and is setup to assign addresses (starting at .20) to my Lan (my desktop work great to the internet) this one is in the basement. WRT#2-IP 184.108.40.206 ( DHCP disabled and WRT#1 is its gateway) is connected by cable to WRT#1 from Lan port one. From My desktop I can get to both. Both also have WPA/PSK with the same key and both have the same SSID (for Roaming). With the my wifes tablet I am able to connect but it seems that I am connecting to WRT#1 which is the fartest or I get the message limited connectivity so it seems that if I do connect to WRT#2 I cannot get an address. WRT#1 is set to Gateway and WRT#2 is set to router. What is the correct way to set up two WRT54s so I can go any place on my property and connect?
