Hi guys. Here to torment you again.

I have Ubuntu server 6.06.2 running on the thing. Booted off the HDD (with NAS-cc firmware). 6.06 is still in the repos so I can add packages via apt. Ubuntu 6.10 started using upstart (and I'm seriously confused and don't understand it's workings, so I avoided it).

I decided to slim down the default and put in enough of Alejandro Liu's firmware (nasctl) to see visual or audible indicators of it's progress. I added a safety environment (webmin) to find out why it didn't work at the beginning. (three devnodes missing, and their perms)

For anyone who wants to do the same, hit me up privately. I don't check my private messages daily so there may be a delay in response.

I am going to use my NAS200 now as a dev box, primarily with subversion and/or mysql. I've replaced the SMB and FTP with a traditional PC with FreeNAS.
