    Hi Everyone,

I am facing a small problem in setting the password for my Linksys router. I am residing in India. I have recently taken connection which is unsecured (Doesn't require me to login through a portal or network client that insists on a username and password). The network provider is BSNL, which is incidentally one of the largest Internet service providers in India. I am accessing my internet with absolutely no security whatsoever as I am unable to configure my router. People in my neighborhood now may be having unrestricted access to my internet on my expense.

I did try to configure the router using the IP Address http://192.168.1.1/ but it takes me to the BSNL webpage which is also using the same IP (Screenshot attached below). Please could anybody help me out in configuring the IP or suggest other methods of securing my internet and prevent others from using it?

    Regards,

    Viv
