I have a couple of machines connected directly through the LAN ports on my WRT54GS with DD-WRT v23 SP2 (09/15/06) vpn firmware. Unusually, I am unable to resolve to a specific domain. Wireless devices do not have a problem reaching this domain. The domain is fantasysports.yahoo.com. I've done a nslookup and received two answers from the wired workstations, however. I'm stumped as to what might be causing this behavior, I've even reapplied the Linksys firmware and the results are the same. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Output from the nslookup:

    Default Server: DD-WRT
    Address: 192.168.1.1

    > set debug
    > fantasysports.yahoo.com
    Server: DD-WRT
    Address: 192.168.1.1

This is not a single domain issue. I am also unable to reach weather.com or microsoft.com. I did some more testing to determine if this was a machine issue or router. I did plug a laptop directly into the router and it worked. I then removed the router and plugged directly into the dsl modem and the machine that was unable to reach certain domains was then able to reach them. I'm wondering if the router contains a dns cache that might be corrupt. Well thanks for the views.

Well, this issue was resolved by reinstalling the original firmware. So much for dd-wrt v.24.
