    I am using a WMP54G wireless-g pci Adapter on a Windows 2000 (sp4) system.
I think I'd like to remove it and installed a wired card in its place.

I think the procedure is to use add/remove programs to remove "Linksys Wireless G PCI Adapter" and use add/remove hardware to remove "Linksys Wireless G PCI Adapter," the remove the card from the machine.

I'm uncertain which order to do these things in and not positive I have the right procedure.

Would anyone who has done this care to comment?

PS I want to do this because something around here intereferes with the connection from time to time, a "network cable unplugged" message pops up and it's a nuisance. I don't think it would be a good idea to have two network cards installed.

I would use add/remove programs to remove "Linksys Wireless G PCI Adapter".

    Shutdown and remove the card.
