Is there anyway to update the time on my computer from my router? I have the time on my WRT54GS set to update every 4 hours. I also have my Computer Windows XP Pro SP2 to update every 4 hours. It can be changed through a registry setting.

    1. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services \W32Time\TimeProviders\NtpClient
    2. Select "SpecialPollInterval"
    3. Change decimal value from 604800 to a different value in seconds. i.e.: 172800 (2 Days) or 86400 (1 Day) and so on.

Since the router is going to an outside server I thought it might be easier to have it check the router than have my computer also go to an outside server. But i have no idea how it checks the time from a server. Just a thought.

I don't think so, I think that would require NTP server on WRT54
WRT54 has only NTP client inside busybox
