    Hello,

I am currently running tomato 1.19 and I was looking to upgrade to the newest version. Do I need to do a wipe of my settings when I do that or would an in place upgrade work?

    Thanks

well you can update without erasing the nvram, and if you experience any weird behaviour you can reset your settings later. however i would recommend you to update to one of the tomato branches (like teddybear or victek - depending on your router), where an nvram reset is most probably needed

Ok, so I shouldn't just go from tomato 1.19 to tomato 1.28, I need to go to a different "type" of tomato firmware first?

Sorry just trying to confirm, you threw me for a loop there hehe.

You will need to wipe your settings, so many things have changed since those days. It would really be tempting fate not to.

Ok, thanks for your input. I may just stay on 1.19, I have no problems with it as is so why risk new problems from upgrading!

    Thank you for your help.
