upgrade 1.06 -> 1.10 problem

    I have upgraded my router (WRT54G v2) from tomato 1.06 to 1.10. But afterwards i am not able to do anything on the Internet. I am able to get a IP from my ISP. When i go back to a default configuration the problem will not go away. rebooting/reseting both ends doesn't help either.
    I also had this problem when trying to upgrade to 1.07, 1.08 and 1.09.
    I had to go back to 1.06 with my old configuration.

    Does anybody have clue to solve this?

    So, it has to do with the Dnsmasq (Custom Configuration).

    The first 5 lines of my dnsmasq.conf are

    so line 2 is is the domain name I have for my local lan - so I can address my router etc with names of the sort wrt54gs.lan - these come from the basic Identification settings webpage, not custom dnsconfig

    I'd recommend the reset to defaults with thorough erase nvram option then type only required info in.
