    Hello,

I'm novice in this things. I already made an upgrade from DD-WRT Firmware to Tomato because I suppose will work as repeater. I didn't read the instruction good. Normally I had to reset the password before.
Now I can not access the web interface. I don't know the password. Please help to recover or change it.

    Thanks in advance

I already tried but don't work.
It is a bug from DD-WRT Firmware.
I saw this on the site from Tomato

By default, the SES/AOSS button is programmed to start a password-less telnet daemon at port 233 if held for 20+ seconds. If you run into a problem of not being able to login, you can use this to view ("nvram get http_passwd") or reset ("nvram set http_passwd=newpassword") the password. You can disable this behavior in Admin/Buttons. Remember to reboot the router after retrieving your password to close the backdoor.

If you're upgrading from DD-WRT v23 SP2+, be aware that you may get locked-out because of a change in DD-WRT's use of the nvram password key. You have a few options:

    * Push the reset button to reset all the configuration after installing Tomato.
    * Use the SES/AOSS button as described above.
    * Log in with telnet* and type "nvram get http_passwd" while running DD-WRT and write down the result - this will be your password after loading Tomato. (*the telnet login name is always 'root' even if you have changed the user name in the DD-WRT web interface).

I'm not familiar with this specific problem. But, I'd be surprised if the 30-second reset doesn't fix it. I thought that would completely clear NVRAM. Did you power off the router, press the reset button, power on, and hold the reset button for 30 seconds?

For az2008 how it was the password reset

I used tftp2 and update blind the rooter at dd-wrt.v24_mini_generic firmware.
Here the password is root followed by admin.
Then followed the instruction from Tomato site and flash again Tomato 1.23

Now I shall follow the instruction from Low-WRT

I shall try now to setup this Linksys as universal repeter.
The first router is a Philips from Belgacom in Belgium.
    I'm a beginner.
I shall inform you later for the result.

Till now it don't work as repeater

I tried to connect this linksys with a Philips adsl-router.
It don't work. Maybe because this Philips have not " Access Point + WDS" in the settings.
I don't know. I lost 4 hours but I realize to flash DD-WRT and Tomato on this router anyway.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks
