I have been using Shibby mode 79 (1.28.0905 MIPSR2-079V K26 USB AIO) for a while in my Asus RT-N16.
If I want to upgrade to the latest (tomato-K26USB-1.28.RT-MIPSR2-101-AIO), can I just upgrade without erasing the NVRAM?
How can I back up my configurations now and apply it to the build 101 without compromising any performance?

    Thanks Dark_Shadow.
It looks like erasing NVRAM is the best wat to go.

Personally, I use Roboform for saving / restoring most of my settings.

No need for nvram erase if your upgraqding from same modder. In my case, I stick to Shibby FW and have done so many FW upgrade/downgrade wirelessly w/out doing nvram saving.

Actually modders claim that the nvram should be wiped after every upgrade or downgrade, even if from the same modder. That said I never wipe the nvram after upgrading Toastman's releases and haven't had any problems. I don't use QoS though.

Same here. I never clear nvram unless something starts acting weird. Never had a problem upgrading to Toastman's newer builds.
