I would like to put the newest firmware version on my router. It is a GS v2.0 (CGN3). DO I have to use the mini .bin file first on this router or just the standard.bin file? And I am also woundering, can I put the Linksys firmware back on the router at a later date if I choose to?

On my WRT54G v1 & v2 routers, I used the generic standard BIN file from the router's f/w upgrade web interface.

The mini is only necessary I believe for v4 routers.

To be safe, use the mini_wrt54gs first, then usethe DDWRT.

I have on 2 WRT54GSv2.0 reflashed straight from DDRWT to Linksys orig. 4.70 without issues, and done that as well on a v3.0 without problems.

Remember to wait 5 minutes when you see the Continue button after flashing before doing anything else.
