Do I need to do a "Restore Default Configuration" prior to or after upgrading?
And if so when and which one (normal or thorough)?

If you have a full working Tomato 1.23 running I wouldn´t mind restoring the configuration after upgrading.

    Thanks for the reply Kibe,

So I am assuming I still need to do a "Restore Default Configuration" prior to and after upgrading? Then restore the backup config?
If so which one (Normal or Thorough)?

Before upgrading or even down grading. I do the following.

    1. Restore defaults (normal)
    2. Clear NVRAM (thorough)
    3. Load firmware
    4. Clear NVRAM (thorough)

You might want to stay with 1.23 if you want rock solid stability. I never had a problem personally with 1.25 accept with some thing minor. Have read up on the forums about people having some issues with 1.25. It seems 1.23 is better at the moment.

    Thanks for the input FattysGoneWild,

I'll stand still with v1.23 for the time being then, the only real feature I was looking forward to was:
    anyways...
    thanks again,

With 1.25, I had a dropout at least once every day, with 1.23 I have zero dropouts. I'd stick with 1.23.
