Upgrading Motel Network

    Hi All,

Just looking for a bit of advice concerning a network I have running at a smaller(50 room) motel. Currently I have 3 WRT54G's all v5 or higher. One serves the addresses and the other two are connected via ethernet. The 3 routers are on channels 6,11,1

Although I have seen that the signal is decent in the rooms, at times guests say that it can be flakey. I am considering adding another wireless router but am torn between sticking to what I know works fine (WRT54G) or upgrading to a more powerful router with wireless n support. I have heard that n can interfere with b/g operation and reliability is my main concern.

Any suggestions as to what I should do? Add another WRT54GL (in case I decide to go aftermarket firmware). Upgrade to a router with b/g/n and aftermarket firmware support (any suggestions).

As an aside for those who have experience with aftermarket firmware such as dd-wrt or tomato... how reliable do you find it to be compared to linksys firmware.

Thanks for the suggestions and help
