    IMHO - no chance!

Look for an nslu2 and see it is a pretty fast processor with lots of flash/ram and can run all sorts of OS's with ipkg optware downloadable module support... You'd need to dedicate one usb port/ hard disk as the install/OS, and connect other disks to the second USB port.

Hello to everyone, I'm new here :)

I was also wondering about adding usb port to my WRT54GL. I need it not to connect usb storage, but to connect a usb lightmeter - that means i don't need high transfer rate, no more than a line of text per second (often less).

I found out that the SoC (broadcom BCM5354, I guess) has usb capabilities, but probably they are not implemented on the motherboard so it's unlikely that it's possible to solder the port anywhere...

But as the SD card mod uses some GPIO pins to operate, I was wondering if it is possible to implement usb with GPIO pins... as I don't need speed, it might be possible? Is there any driver written for "usb over GPIO"?
