USB Print and memory card storage issues

    Canon MX870. Trying the USB port for a printer for the first time.

    Have configured the port and can print to the printer.

    But no information from the printer, ink levels, etc., are displayed. Have tried bi-directional options with no positive impact.

    Can not mount the memory card slot even though Tomato sees the memory card. When I try to mount it says mount failed. But it is listed as a device in the USB section.

    Did any version of Tomato work with memory cards on printers or give feedback regarding ink status, etc.?

    No one has gotten a printer's memory card slot to work using the router's usb port and Tomato?
