Using a WAG54G as a router with a cable modem

    Is it possible to use the wag54g as a router witha cable modem. My unit suffered a modem failure but the router and wifi bit seem to be operating ok. My brother has cable broadband so is there anyway to connect his cable modem to the wag54g and then connect his PC's though that.

    No, because a WAN port is required !
    Consequently a WAG can route only from the internal modem...

    It's a shame but I guess the poor old box is destined for the rubbish bin
