Using a WRT54G as an AP?

Since HyperWRT is for WRT... and since the WRT54G costs less than 10 bucks more than the WAP54G, I'm wondering... if I don't plug anything into a WRT54G's WAN port, disable it's DHCP server and only connect things on the LAN and WLAN sections... I can use it as an Access Point? Am I missing something?

I probably need to set it's internal IP address (on the LAN) manually to something reasonable for my actual (L)LAN?

This describes EXACTLY what I had in mind.

There's just one thing missing, which is to have the LAN IP set by DHCP. :) But... hey... in ANY case, I want it fixed so no problem.

    Thanks again,
