Using a WRT54GS as a repeater?

I've got 2 WRT54GS routers both running DD-WRT and reading an article on 'bridging" it appears that I can use the second router to act as a repeater/bridge. It only shows how to set it up so that the ethernet ports can be used on the 2nd router to Wifi back to the 'primary' BUT could I also use the Wifi access on the 2nd router? Reason is that the signal drops at the other end of the house and as this second WRT54GS is sat doing nowt I was hoping to use it to boost the signal.

Am I on a hiding for nothing or can I get this to work?

Use WDS. It will allow your 2 routers to effectively function as one, allowing the wireless signal to effectively be repeated. I'm not a DD-WRT user, so I'm not sure where the setting is, but I know that it supports WDS.

You might want to verify this option... (available on the V.24 Beta)

I believe it has everything you are looking for... you can even create a virtual SSID in order to repeat your wireless signal with the same ip range or with another set of ip.
I'm using it... and it works very well. Hope that helps...
