Using midnight commander I've managed to unzip the data.tar.gz contained in an ipk file, to get the mipsel binaries.

    scp -C iperf 192.168.1.1:/tmp
    ....

    ssh 192.168.1.1
    Tomato..

    # cd /tmp
    # iperf
    can't find library _______

    put the lib* files there

    still can't find it.

Can't write to the /lib directory, Read Only.

    Any solutions?

    Solution:
    # LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/tmp
    # export LD_LIBRARY_PATH

Here's how to do it...... most "whiterussian" binaries work...

    tar xvvf blabla.ipk
    gunzip control.tar.gz

gives you the files you need, in ./etc and ./usr/bin and so forth...

scp all the files you need to the router as per above (to /tmp or /jffs)

set the library path if you need libraries (libcxx libg needed for most binaries)
