Upon reading slashdot this morning i discovered an article on how oblivious parents are to what their children do online. http://slashdot.org/articles/08/02/05/0212254.shtml

A thought immediately came to my mind... tomato, could tomato not track and log all of the information on it and send a log file out as an email?

    Thanks.

I am sure there is probably some way to go about logging data to an external machine that is connected to the router and is always on. As far as sending out e-mails from Tomato, I think this would be one more tool spammers could end up making use of if people's routers were not as secure as they should be.

It would be best to have Tomato just send data that should be logged to a machine that is always on in the internal network so as to minimize burning out of the NVRAM on the router. This will also help in situations where there is not enough RAM on the router to keep large log files.
