Using WAG354G-UK as just a Wireless Router

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to use the WAG354G-UK as a wireless router without using the ADSL functionality?

I bought it when I had ADSL Broadband but I now have Cable. Is it possible to run an Ethernet cable from the Cable Modem to the WAG354G-UK and then share that over the Wireless lan?

    Any advice is appreciated,

    Chris

I don't think you can use it as a router without deep hacking of the firmware. By connecting the cable modem to a LAN port you should be able to use it as a single user access point. Now you've found this site you need to go and buy a WRT54GL (L=Linux) and enter the world of 3rd party firmware!

You can share your local network but can't route because all the WAGs route only from the internal modem.

I think it CAN do routing and natting if, as mstombs said, you use an hacked firmware....
as I have not tested it, I dont know if it really works or not....
    from telnet:
    Code:
    killall checkadsl
    killall redial
    killall wanledctrl
    killall pppd

    udhcpc -i eth0
    udhcpc -i wlan0

    ip route del 192.168.100.1
ip route add default via 192.168.1.1 dev br0

    iptables -t nat -F
    ptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -s 192.168.1.0/24 -j MASQUERADE
