    hi!

i have huge problems with the wlan on this router, i get a very slow speed when i try to copy a big file from my nas to the pc using the wlan, i have a Ncard in the pc, and the wireless network mode is set to auto.

i have tried to set it to b/g and i can get a little faster file transfer , about 2 mb/sec, but that is not good at all.

if i use auto or just n mode i get about 400 kb/sec

i have tried alot of settings under the basic menu/wireless

    but nothing works good.
could someone please give some advice.

    thanks

Check this thread http://www.linksysinfo.org/index.php?threads/realtek-drivers-problem.36548/, don't use RT-N builds, use only RT ones...or upgrade/change your card.

    Let me know.

no no no. This is WNR3500L version 2. This has new CPU and NAND flash. He has to use dedicated RT-N build. Only my build support this router.

    thanks,

i have uppgraded the firware in the router and the wireless lan card in the computer, but its still the same, slow as ...
the card in the computer is a Realtek RTL8192SE

if the wlan could be fixed in this router it would be the best router ive ever had.

i guess that i have to buy a new wlan card for my computer, the one i have today is called:Realtek RTL8192SE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC
i want a new card that works good with the tomato firmware, as i have written before, the above mentioned wifi card is giving me a very low transfer rate.
i consider to buy a new one that is fully functional and gives me a good transfer rate with the tomato firmware.

so please if anyone knows a good working wireless lan card, write here and ill buy it.

is the PCI-E NIC the type of wlan card that i must use?
