vi died, how do I kill it?

I reflashed from DD-WRT rel23 back to Tofu12 (actually I was using the regular HyperWRT 2.1b for a long time).

But now I've managed to crash vi... ^Z didn't work to stop the job, and then kill didn't work on the PID... but I think I'm using it wrong?

    ps | grep vi
    2020 0 348 R vi

    kill 2020

This seems like it worked (there's no error msg), however, ps shows it's still running. How do I kill it without restarting the whole box?

    Ehhhxcellent. Thank you!

It does appear that vi is a little extra tough to use in Tofu12? I mean, I'm still impressed that the WRTs are even capable of running Linux in any form.
