    Hey Vic,

I noticed that for MIPSR1 users of RAF K26, you have a standard version, a USB version, which also includes VPN (and CIFS?) and a non-USB VPN version which does not include CIFS.

I assume the reason you left CIFS out of the non-USB VPN build is because the resulting firmware would be over 4MB, which I can understand.

I however have a WRT54G-TM, which is one of the few K26 compatible non-USB MIPSR1 routers available that have 8MB of flash, and was wondering how difficult it would be to make an oversize (more than 4mb) RAF to cater to those users, who want both CIFS and VPN.

Can I just use the USB version on my 8MB non-USB unit without issue? (i obviously wouldn't be able to use any USB features though) I assume it has both VPN and CIFS?

Good question, Victek, could you please answer it? Thanks

You can clone the sources from git and compile your own build, unless Victek wants to compile a custom build for you,

that isn't the question , but if using the usb section would damage or hang the router.

usb versions work fine on a WRT54G-TM, I've been doing this for sometime.
