Virtual Wireless Interface Won't Go Away

    I recently upgraded Toastman firmware from a VLAN version to the current non-VLAN version on my RT-N66U (1.28.0502 MIPSR2Toastman-RT-N K26 USB VPN).

    Even though I told it to erase all NVRAM after flashing, my Status page still shows a phantom of a former wifi interface:

    Code:
    Wireless (2.4 GHz / wl0.1) (Click here to hide)
    MAC Address0A:60:6E:B9:F2:9B
    Wireless Modeundefined
    Interface StatusDown
    SSID
    Securityundefined

    I deleted several nvram variables that seemed to be related using nvram unset for each:

    Code:
    wl0.10_hwaddr=0A:60:6E:B9:F2:9C
    wl0.11_hwaddr=0A:60:6E:B9:F2:9D
    wl0.12_hwaddr=0A:60:6E:B9:F2:9E
    wl0.13_hwaddr=0A:60:6E:B9:F2:9F
    wl0.14_hwaddr=0A:60:6E:B9:F2:90
    wl0.15_hwaddr=0A:60:6E:B9:F2:91
    wl0.1_bss_maxassoc=128
    wl0.1_hwaddr=0A:60:6E:B9:F2:9B
    wl0.1_ifname=wl0.1
    wl0.1_wme=on

    I then did an nvram commit and rebooted the router - but the variables come back. How do I get rid of this phantom interface?
