I installed the firmware on my WRT54GS and Vonage would not connect.

I did a soft and hard reset, but Vonage would not connect.

    Getting Vonage to Work

Plug your Vonage VOIP into port 4 and see if it connects then. Works for me, no port forwarding required. That is the only port I was able to get it to work on.

I'm having a similar problem with packet8, I can get a dial tone but when I call out all I get is a fast busy. This is only with the 2 lastest versions of hyperwrt's firmware. When I switch to a different one my phone works again. any help because I would really would rather use this firmware

    Packet8

I'm using Packet8 with HyperWRT 1.3 with no issue.

Although, my network might be a little unique.

I have a Win2k3 server providing DHCP. I have the IP address of the Packet8 adapter locked down. This might be something that helps in this regard.

The server and the adapter are both connected to a 10Base-T hub which in turn is connected to a WRT54G running HyperWRT1.3.

I've even set QoS for the Packet8 adapter's MAC address to High so it gets all the bandwidth it wants (everything else is set to Low).

Beyond that, I've left most settings at their defaults.

I'm able to make and receive calls just fine.
