If i take DHCP away from the rv016, and give it to my domain controller. will i be able to route via unc? like \\server\share

or will i have to do ip address \\10.10.x.x?

Depends on what the PC(s) using for it's primary DNS server.

On my RV042 and RV082 the built in DHCP server does not instruct the windows machine to use NetBIOS over TCP/IP. I must configure this manually on each workstation. I also enabled WINS as the network is a mixed mode Domain. If you have dynamic DNS updating correctly and your PCs pointing to it this will also resolve names correctly.

    hope this helps,

    russ
