I can use the Linksys VPN Client software to connect to a RV042. The VPN is up because I can administer the router settings.

The client can ping the routers internal ip address, but the router can not ping the clients internal ip address....This seems very stange to me.

Both client and router are using NAT....could I have a problem with NAT Traversal ?

I have called support, and right now they are telling me to reflash my router. The RV042 is running linux is it not ? Is there a way I can log into it to for further debugging ?

Are the Clients running a software firewall, such as XP's built in one or ZoneAlarm?

The client I am trying to reach is a network printer ( SAVIN ) with an ip address. As far as I know this printer has no firewall software at all.

Does it have it's default gateway set to the RV's local IP address?

That was it ! Thanks for your help....
I guess I have become too dependant on DHCP and have started to forget the basics.
