VPN Connect with SSH Sentinel and RV042

    I have two new RV042 routers for our offices. We have successfully connected a vpn gateway to gateway. We have also successfully connected through the linksys vpn client.

    However, I would like to get SSH Sentinel to work also. I have firmware on the router and Sentinel 1.4 (build 190). I need to make a connection to my office (static ip) from my home (dynamic ip). I have spent many hours reading forums on how to set this up and I think I am missing just once piece of the puzzle.

    All examples I find are for different model routers or for two static ip addresses. I would eventually like to use ssh on the road so a two static ip scheme will not work.

    When I run a diagnostic in ssh sentinel I pass IKE phase 1 but fail in phase 2. I have tried many different things but no success.

    For remote client setup I use Dynamic IP address + Email Addr. The router log shows:

    Cannot respond to IPsec SA request because no connection is known for 10.x.xx.x/24===xxx.xxx.xx.xxx...xx.xx.xx.xx[username@email.com]===xxx.xxx.x.xxx/32

    If anybody can give me a pointer I would greatly appreciate it.

    figured it out

    I have SSH Sentinel connecting to my RV042. I had to set up a group VPN instead of a Tunnel. I actually got the idea from reading the manual of The Greenbow VPN client software.

    Can anybody tell me what the difference is between a VPN Tunnel and and Group VPN?

    Also, client-gateway connections have to work in "Aggressive Mode". I read in a post that Aggressive Mode is not as secure and Normal Mode. Is this true? Can somebody explain this? I'm Just curious.
