VPN disconnects

I have 2 buildings in a city, and a VPN connection between them. In one building, I have a DSL with static IP. Behind the DSL modem comes a D-Link VPN router, and behind that is the computer.

In the other building, I have a DSL with dynamic IP address. Behind the DSL modem is a BEFSR81. On one of its port is a Linksys VPN router (BEFSX41), behind which is the copmuter that's talking to the first building. This connection is fine for the most part, but then drops out for about an hour just about every day.

When that happens, I'm in building 2, and can't get the VPN router to establish connection to the first building. I can ping building 1, but have some lost packets. Then as time goes by, in about an hour or so, these dropped pakcets start to disappear, and the connection re-establishes.

The way I have it setup is that it re-establishes the VPN connection every hour with a new encryption key.

If anybody has any ideas, please, let me know
